Slowly, but it is getting there. We only have to get the vent a hood put in, the island painted and put in, kitchen sink hooked up as well as the dishwasher and then the back splash and some chandeliers hung. We have the hard woods put down in the kitchen and formal living room and now we are having them put down in the hall and the girls play room and our bedroom. I have to say, I can not believe how much bigger, cleaner, and more updated the house looks with these hard woods. I know they say "never say never" but I am going to go ahead and step out there and say .... I will never go back to carpet! I am so glad to have it gone.
The house is looking so much better. Tomorrow we are having Lowe's come out and give us an estimate on the windows. The windows we have are so 80's so we are going to change them out to give the house a newer look. I have a love/hate relationship with this remodeling thing. I love the outcome but hate the waiting, but Ronnie and I are learning patience :)
The little table was once pine but my talented Amber Pooh sanded it down and re-done it while she was here. She blows me away with her artsy skills! I loved the way it turned out and was wishing she could start on some other pieces for me. She is thinking about maybe going to thrift shops, garage sales etc. and finding pieces that need TLC and re doing them like these. It took some work but the end result is beautiful!
The formal living room needed to blend with the kitchen so we added the same light blue paint but I am going to go with chocolate brown accents. We went to Ashley furniture and purchased a new sleeper sofa and love seat and rug and it will all be delivered on Thursday. We we went while they had their sale and saved over 500.00 :) I will add more photos as it all unfolds.
Well guess I will call it a night. I have been having a hard time sleeping lately because of all of the excitement of things to come. So excited about where we are headed this year. Grateful to be where we are right now in life. Loving every minute of it!
