Prayers for Kyle!

So... where do I begin? As you all may know our son Kyle, was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and congestive heart failure. His heart was working at 15-25% and we had no idea! It started with a cough, a cough that would not go away and was continual 24 hours a day so we took him in to the clinic and they gave him antibiotics but it continued. He was sleeping all day and all night and had no energy and had lost his desire for his guitar and piano, we first thought maybe he was being lazy but started to realize that it was much more than that.  We took him back to the clinic and that's when they found something wrong on the X-ray. We went from a cough to having him in an ambulance headed to Dallas  within about 2-3 weeks! It was very devastating to get the diagnosis that we received. Kyle may be needing a heart and a lung transplant!! We are praying for a miracle and ask you all for your prayers. As you may know, my husband and I are very busy business owners and had opened a church 3 years ago. Our church was so wonderful and sustained us spiritually during some rough times in our lives. When we received the news of Kyle's diagnosis we both knew in our hearts that we would have no other choice than to shut the doors and dedicate our time and energy full time to Kyle. We do not regret this decision and acknowledge the Lord's will in this. Kyle is with us 24/7 and receives around the clock care and has home nurses come once a week. He also has to go to Dallas once or twice during the week. He was recently re-hospitalized to have a defibrillator put in. We love the ministry and will always be servants to the Lord in any area that we can and look for opportunities to minister but right now at this time in our lives our family is number one and know that God wants us to take care of our family. We are taking this time to be at Kyle's side for every single step of the way. We are enjoying taking trips with him and spending time with our grand daughters etc. So many good things have come from this. It's amazing to watch God as he works with your children. Kyle has drawn so close to the Lord during this time and not only prays but asks us to pray with him, we have had "mini revivals" in the hospital rooms! Rev. Burnie Sanders has been amazing! He has been with us every step of the way, ministering, praying and supporting us! Pastors Mark and Linda Graham have gone above and beyond what typical pastors do! There are no words to say how grateful that we are for these pillars in our lives! Even though this has been such a dark and painful time, I will never forget the way God has moved in Kyle's life!!! He quotes Romans 10:9 and I've watched him intercede while talking about the goodness of God..... he told me "Mom I prayed and asked God to take away my pain and IT WAS IMMEDIATELY GONE, what did I do to deserve God to be so good to me, I am just a sinner!" We have held him and wept and prayed and I thank God for these wonderful treasures! When people talk about being born again I know what they mean! Kyle has been born again, he's a changed person! I am counting it all JOY because I see how God can turn our trials into blessings! I remember one service in church about a year ago, I kept hearing the Lord tell me "it's just part of the journey" it's hard to explain but I know that these things are just part of our journey, things to test our faith. Nothing tests your faith more than seeing your children hurt but we are determined to Bless the Lord and keep his praise on our lips. He is a good, and just God and we trust him. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and for donating to his medical fund. We are blown away by the donations that have been given to us and also for all the churches that are praying for him! I think every church in Wichita Falls has him on their prayer list and we are grateful! I am grateful for my family also, when the going gets tough, the tough get going, we've pulled together and have such a strong bond that nothing can break! Amber and her girls have been here for almost all of July and we have enjoyed having all the kids together. This is the season for OUR FAMILY and we are going to take advantage of every moment. Love your family, life is short and there is no trial worth destroying that bond. God bless you all and once again THANK YOU from our hearts!
