I'll Meet You In The Morning

Pastor Ronnie mentioned Thursday night, that wouldn't it be good if we looked forward with rejoicing to walking into the house of God.
It made me think of my PawPaw Poore.
He was such a simple person. What you saw is what ya got.
I remember when he would get up to testify at church. Granny would kinda tug on his pant leg if she thought he was going too long. Haha.
He would request, " Farther Along" by the page number during singing. Then he would "Get Happy."
He loved that song but I wasn't too fond of it at the time.
See I hadn't had the life experiences he had.
When he bacame ill he was placed in a nursing home.
Visiting him was so different than visiting anyone I had ever visited then and now.
He was so happy! So anticipating going home! His heavenly home.
My dad's Uncle John Joyner who I think was 100 years old at the time, would visit him.
They would sing "Come and Dine." Boy would Pawpaw "get happy!"
The thing I remember the most was the last thing he told me and my sister...
"Girls, I'll meet you in the morning just inside the Eastern Gate!"
Then he would,"get happy!"
I get happy too when I think of seeing him again. I do believe in life after this life.
What a sad thing to believe in this life only.
When I see him again we are gonna "Get Happy" together!
It won't be long!
Love you PawPaw!
