I've watched for years people get so excited in the church over some new mystery or revelation but walk out the doors being their same ole selves not actually letting his word change their hearts. I encourage everyone to go back to 1 Corinthians 13 and read. It is so simple but like my friend said "so over looked". So thankful for this timing letter !
The vast majority are in love with Jesus through another person. Their relationship with the LORD is based another person's relationship. But guess what, that's not a relationship with Jesus at all. That's a pseudo relationship. It's imaginary. You think you have something great, but you're holding a human's hand and not Jesus' hand.
I'm tired of knowledge. So many seek knowledge. Something new to tickle
their ears. We don't need a new mystery, we need Jesus! I guess I'm becoming a
radical! What if….we could actually bask in the love of Jesus…daily….walk
in peace and joy….daily……love our brothers and sisters fully…..always…..What if
we lived in Grace - receiving from the LORD pardon and forgiveness. Notice I
said, Receiving. We know that it is there, but we don't receive it. We beat
and judge ourselves. That's not receiving grace. Since I have been walking
this new way, I feel real conviction. Real conviction! From the Lord. Not
because of what someone told me, but it's inside me. I love this!!
We think we are radical because of the way we shout, pray and praise.
Well, we are different, yes, but radical, no. Being radical for Jesus is not
performing for someone. A lot of our praise is performance. Jesus doesn't want a performance. He wants sincerity of
heart. People have mistaken their outward holiness as proof that they are grown up in
God. That is false. The proof is in behavior. I love First Corinthians 13! He wants to posses our hearts completely.
What if we really read the Bible and lived by its Words? The simple easy
to understand word like "Follow peace with all men". So simple, yet so passed
over.
and once again my favorite scripture:
Show me YOUR ways O lord, guide me in YOUR truth and teach me.
Psalm 25:4-5
