So.......... this is the china that I have been in love with since my Mother found one of the pieces and gave it to me. I loved the plate so much that we used it in Amber and Joel's wedding on their cake table and it worked perfectly since this and pink were her wedding colors. Ever since then I have been searching at thrift stores for matching pieces. I recently found a 20 piece set for 100.00 on Ebay and was so super excited and so we were going to bid on them to go in my new kitchen but in the excitement of having company yesterday we forgot and they took them off because no one had bid on them. Ronnie was dreading telling me the news that he forgot and that we lost them. For a brief minute I felt dissappointed but then I remembered in every thing to give thanks and I said thank you Lord because if you would have wanted me to have had them, I would have "Blessed be your name, the good Lord giveth and the good Lord taketh away" and it really was well with my soul but then the next day Ronnie found that they had re-posted them for 75.00........ 25.00 cheaper!!! So needless to say, I got my dishes and I got them for a cheaper price. Good things come to those who wait.
This remimnded me of our little church. We had wanted this one building so badly but it got sold and then we surrendered to God and said "Not our will but thy will be done" and then right after that he gave us a better building with a better parking lot better price, more land etc. So you see, once we realize that God knows what is best for us even when we can't see it, we are so much better off.
I am learning (slowly but surely) that GOD is in charge of everything that I am, I am not, I have, I don't have, I want,.I don't want, I love, I don't love, and on and on.......... He is in charge of MY LIFE and I wouldn't have it any other way! Blessed be his name :)
Let him be in charge of yours too and you will find it really is a lot easier when we let go and LET GOD be God :)
