As some of you may know, my husband and I have felt the Lord leading us to a ministry. We have prayed about it for a long while and asked God to have his will and to open or shut the door to this ministry. So far every door has been opened in such amazing ways that it would take me all day to share the stories with you. To make a very long story short, Ronnie has become a licensed and ordained minister. I can not even begin to tell you how this has changed our lives in such a dramatic way. God has brought us so far from where we use to be. Through all the suffering and pain that we have endured to get here, I would have to joyfully say that it has been worth every tear shed. God is so good! We can not understand the ways of God but if we could ever just learn to trust him, we would be so much better off.
Yesterday we signed a 5 year lease on a building that the Lord brought us to. It was not what we originaly had in mind but so much better. The place that we had our hearts set on was more than we could afford and was let down when they sold it out from under us, but then I after we surrendered it, we prayed about it and I got on facebook and someone had posted something that said this......... "God's answer to your prayers is this..... 1. YES
2. Not yet
3. I got something better for you
I got tears in my eyes because we found out that there was a building close by that was half the cost, brand new plumbing, electrical work, floors, and the man told us that since we were a church he would put in brand new central heat and air! We were blown away! Once again God IS SO GOOD!
We will be starting small with around 15 dedicated people and more on the way. We spent a couple of hours with a little newly wed couple the other day that are so hungry for God and want to come to the Church and we are so excited to see what is store for them.
Our mnstry is not to pull anyone out of their own church but for those who are lost. I believe that God has a plan for each of us and we all have to find out where he wants us. We have found where God wants us and are so happy to be here. When you pray to be right in the middle of God's will with all of your heart and say to him, "I want it no matter the cost" He will be faithful to put you there even if you or anyone around you understands it, he will still be faithful to put you where you belong. I'm thankful for the will of God and glad that he knows what I need better than I do. Please pray for us as we continue on this journey. It's all about being "fishers of men" and helping others on lifes journey and indroducing them to a life changing message.
Thankful for the support and prayers of Life Tabernacle. Bro. Holley has been a blessing to us and his church and church family was there for us for a season to help heal and restore us so that we could be what God has called us to be. They have taught us what a church family should be like and for that we are grateful. Thankful for where I come from because the word has sunstained me because the message has taught me that God is the head of all things, and that all things work together for good. We can not be bitter for the way God has brought us because he is working it all out for our good. I hold no bad feelings over the past at all. Our trials were a place where we could get alone with God and seek his will. In the valley he restoreth our souls. I know we would not have grown spiritually if we would not have come this route. You see in the end, it is all a personal journey with God. It is so good whenyou can finally get to a place where it is only about him, when you can say "it doesn't matter what others think, as long as I am on my Fathers business and he is pleased with me.
So glad to be running on for him in the year of 2012. I'm ready to run this race and help others on the way. The Lord is coming soon and I can't wait to meet him in the air.
Love to all!
