I copied this off of a friend's facebook page and thought it was powerful. It seems like humanity likes the places of exaltation, but sometimes to truly minister means to go to the low places, the places where people don't want to go. Sure everybody likes to sing in the choir and there's nothing wrong with that, we need singers but we also need people who will go to the places where no one wants to go like the Faith City Mission and the retirement homes, the prisons etc. or maybe it's the man on the back pew that everyone is afraid to talk to. Lord help me to step down and learn and practice humility so that I can become a servant that you could be proud of in Jesus Name :)
